About Hunter Farms

One Family. Seven Generations. Sustainability Matters.

Hunter Farms is a 7 generation working cattle ranch, hay operation and farm store that dates back to 1889. We are located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. Our main farm is located in the Skokomish Valley on the Olympic Peninsula. With luscious green grass , fertile soil and a mild climate, we are able to produce some of the best beef, pumpkins, Christmas trees and corn in the Pacific Northwest!

It’s no secret that the Olympic Peninsula can get a little rainy in the Winter months, we knew we needed a drier spot for our cattle in the winter. In 2003 we decided to buy a cattle ranch in Ellensburg, Wa. The sun shines daily and the wind blows almost always but this makes for a happy and healthy cow herd. This gives the Skokomish Valley salmon population a clean and safe spot to spawn in the fall, and a much needed rest on our fields. Our Ellensburg ranch provides a spot for our herd to stay dry and calve healthy calves, so they can make their way back to the tall green grasses in the Skokomish Valley. While the herd is away in Ellensburg our fields grow premium Eastern Washington alfalfa, timothy, and orchard grass.  This hay gets sold at our farm store for your animals and fed to our cows in the winter.

Hunter Farms is passionate about providing  high quality and great tasty food to our consumers. We pride ourselves in being a sustainable farm, living harmonious with local wildlife and being stewards of our land. With a history thick in farming we want to provide opportunity for future generations to come while providing quality produce and beef directly to you!
