Tree Lot Procedures
1. Find Your Perfect Tree
Take your time hunting for a tree that feels just right for your holiday celebrations.
2. Get Assistance
Once you’ve chosen your tree, flag down a Tree Associate. We’ll help you bring it up to the cashier.
3. Payment and Tree Prep
After paying, our Tree Associates can:
Shake your tree (to remove loose, dry needles).
Give it a fresh cut to improve water absorption at home.
Bail your tree for easier transport.
Assist in tying your tree securely to your vehicle.
4. Helpful Tips While Waiting
Before paying, let your Tree Associate know:
Do you want a fresh cut?
Do you want your tree bailed up?
Where are you parked?
How will you transport your tree?
Tying it to the top of a vehicle?
Do you have roof rails or a roof rack?
Should we tie it through your car doors?
Tree Types: Quick Facts
Noble Firs
Smell: Subtle, less fragrant than other types.
Price: Higher priced.
Characteristics: Known for strong, evenly spaced branches perfect for heavy ornaments. They last the longest and have a classic, full look with bluish-green needles.
Grand Firs
Smell: The most fragrant, filling your home with that classic Christmas tree scent.
Price: Higher priced.
Characteristics: Soft, shiny green needles with a bushy, symmetrical appearance. Their branches are more delicate, so they're best for lighter ornaments.
Douglas Firs
Smell: Stronger than Noble Firs but slightly less fragrant than Grands.
Price: Most affordable.
Characteristics: Bright green needles and a dense, cone-shaped form make them a timeless favorite. Flexible branches work well for light-to-medium ornaments.
Quick Tree Care Tips
Water immediately after setting up your tree at home. A fresh cut helps the tree absorb water more effectively.
Refill water daily to prevent the base from drying out.
Avoid heat sources to keep your tree fresh and reduce fire risk.
